KODIAK ISLAND, ALASKA

Kodiak is called the Emerald Island and is blessed with a temperate marine climate. The island is rugged mountains with miles of rocky shoreline and stretches of deep, green forests. Over 3,500 Kodiak brown bears make their home on the island.

THE CAMP.

The camp consists of three acres privately owned by Jim. There are three 16′ X 20′ cabins with oil heat and showers. This is a nice place to be on a non-hunting day, usually due to bad weather. It isn’t unusual to spot bears walking along the beach right out the cabin windows.

You can see the camp in the 3/4 right side of this photo.
